I don’t think that we have a productivity problem, not in terms of a deficiency at least. If anything, we might have a problem with being addicted to productivity.

At the time of this writing, if you were to “Google” the word productivity, you would be greeted with over 180,000,000 results. Needless to say, that’s a lot. Many of those results are not simple, stand alone articles on the topic, but they are part of web sites that are strongly or completely dedicated to the theme of productivity.

I have always felt that my writing ability does not live up to my own expectations for excellence. It’s something I’ve struggled with but something I want to face.
